Removal

The following illustration is an exploded view of the in-line fuel filter.

1. Relieve the fuel pressure.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the two mounting nuts on the fuel filter bracket.
4. Remove the supply lines from both ends of the filter. Plug the lines to prevent leakage.
5. Remove the in-line fuel filter from the mounting bracket.

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Tighten the in-line fuel filter mounting nuts to 8-11 N-m (71-97 lb-in). Run the engine and check for leaks.
